Jul	InterNIC and NSI select eight prominent Internet companies in Asia as its Premier Partners,HiChina and China Telecom are among them.
Jul	Statistics provided by InterNIC show HiChina is at the top in terms of CNO domain registration in China. HiChina becomes the largest domain name registration and web hosting provider in China.

1997
Jan	HiChina sponsors "China Internet Situation and Domain Name Protection Workshop", with the most influential companies in China and government agencies actively attending.
Mar	HiChina puts out the first Virtual Hosting Service in China.
Apr	With the support of HiChina, about 200 most wanted domains are assigned back to the hands of their legal registrants (owners) such as Haier,Tongrentang, Hisense and so on. Apr 27	HiChina Corporation is established and entitled "High-tech Company".
May	HiChina sets up its own Internet server in Hong Kong, launches "Hi!China" web site called www.hichina.com.
Jul - Aug	Cooperating with "China Sports Daily" and "People's daily", HiChina live broadcast the Atlanta Olympics Game through "Hi!China" web site in Chinese, which is the first of this kind of live broadcast in China.
Dec	HiChina launches domain name protection campaign, aroused the awareness of major companies in China to protect their well-known trademarks in the Internet.
